2 PRODUCT semisweet chocolate baking chips PERSONA Abigail Sewell, 33 PLACE CHANGES IN THE MARKETPLACE Change in the marketplace: A change in the marketplace that has occurred recently is that people are making their purchases online and picking them up rather than going to the actually store. With this change companies are having to focus more on advertising to customers online or adding a features to the website that remind customers of things they may need or previously purchased or previously viewed. How the change addresses the distribution of products to my persona: The early to mid 30's age group otherwise known as millennials is the largest online shopping generation and has been the initiation generation for buying online and picking up curbside. This is because it is very convenience and a time saver. This also is very convenient for families with young children. DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL Potential distribution channel and why it is appropriate for my product and persona: For my product, semi-sweet chocolate baking chips, and my persona Abigail, I recommend Retail for the distribution channel because it is the most commonly way to purchase which is through a grocery store such as Walmart, Target, or local grocery store chains. This is appropriate because my persona is just using the product for fun and only purchase when needed and not in bulk.
