There was a high food shortage in 1946 and this caused many to ration. World War II left a deep wound in India as two and a half million Indian soldiers were sent to aid the allies and 24,000 killed. Many were unemployed as they lost their jobs after the war since there was no need for war production. Gandhi’s party, Indian national congress, created in 1885 seemed it would be the power that ruled after Britain left. This changed, however, as the All Muslim league became popular during World War II. Muslims were a minority compared to the Hindus. The Partition of 1947 created Pakistan, where the Muslims would live, and India, where the Hindus would live. II) Cultural Differences There were conflicts in the early 1940s at religious events. An example is when the Hindu event Holi, also known as the festival of colors, featured riots. There were also cases when sacred cows were murdered. Additionally, there were times when Hindu music was loudly played by mosques during the prayer time. Segregation of the religions was promoted as Muslim’s could only use ‘Mohammedan refreshment room’ at train stations. Muslims could only use the tap waters labeled ‘Muslim water’ and Hindus could only use the taps labeled ‘Hindu water’. The president of the Muslim League, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, told a British interviewer, “We are different beings, there is nothing in life which links us together. Our names, our clothes, our foods-they are all different; our economic life, our educational ideas, our treatment of women, our attitude to animals….We challenge each other at every point of the compass”. Muslims feared that if Hindus acquired the party, they would be inclined to hire only Hindus for governmental jobs like policeman. This meant they would also control the
“How JROTC has prepared me to be a better citizen of the United states of America”. JROTC has prepared me to become a better citizen by teaching me how to use leadership skills and be able to cope with subordinates. It also has prepared me to be a better citizen by showing me what the 7 army values are and what they mean. Some of the army values are respect, honor, integrity, and personal courage. JROTC has showed me how to do things different from the way I thought things should be done and how to march and be able to keep a company and platoon together when marching. Since I know a lot about the JROTC I am able to help other people become better citizens like I was taught. I am also a better citizen because i have the discipline not to do certain things that I did before I took the JROTC class.

n. During the freedom movement, Muslims and Hindus fought against each other. There were arguments over whether India should be a secular state or a Hindu state in its times of Independence.
In 1939 World War II broke out in Europe. Britain proclaimed India’s involvement in the war without consulting the Indian people. This led to increased protest and volatility. In 1942 India established a national army and proposed the Quit India Movement. This movement promised to lend Indian military support to Britain in return for complete independence. If they refused this treaty the Indian people promised civil disobedience. In 1947 India was granted its independence and became self governing (Luscombe, 2012). On January 26, 1950 the Republic of India was proclaimed and it drafted a constitution. The first democratic elections were held in 1952. However the Hindus and Muslims were not united and colonial India was divided into Muslim Pakistan and Hindu India (History, 2010).
Two numbers have a sum of 20. The sum of their squares is a minimum. Write the two equations required to solve this system of equations.
So we start of with x^2-4x+y^2+8y=-4 you would then take 1/2 of -4 and square it, then take 1/2 of 8 and square it. You would then get x^2-4x+4-4+(y^2+8y+16-16=-4. After all of these steps you would factor the square, x-2^2-4+y+42-16=-4, x-2^2+y+4^2-20=-4. Then you would add 20 to both sides, x-)^2+y+4^2=16
Find the number that 5 times itself is the same as 3 times that number plus 2.

Gandhi was really concerned about the increasing divisions between the Hindu and Muslim's. He tried as much he could to prevent the partition between the Hindu and Muslim's. By the nineteenth century the Indian National Congress (I.N.C.) had been formed and were in union demanding equal opportunities from colonial rule. In attempt to counter out the increasing Hindu educated class, the British sought to make Muslims their allies. This failed but triggered Islamic feeling that in order to protect their culture in the increasingly Hindu I.N.C., believed the Muslims should have their own Islamic state.
They wanted to weaken the freedom movement. They always divide the people on the basis of religion and spread the feeling of hatred, distrust among public. This led to disunity among religious groups and in consequence became responsible for continuation of British rule. The British policy of separate electorate was also one such measure adopted by them. They also acted late in situation of communal violence while ruling.
