In this paper, I will analyze an obituary about Jillian Ann Montgomery who was killed in a car accident. Most obituaries are of people one may not be familiar with, just like this case of Jillian. Obituaries begin with the name, age, and place of residence of the deceased, along with the time and place of death. Jillian’s obituary includes her name, age, residence, and the day when she was killed. It is not in all cases were the cause of death is included but the obituary indicate she was killed in a car accident.
