Some time last year, Cameron Mathison was gracious enough to grant me a brief interview, and while I have been a longtime supporter of his, as a result of that interview, my respect for him as a person and a professional was multipliedconsiderably. I know how busy he is between work and family, but a few months ago, I reached out to him yet again. It seemed like we kept "missing" each other's correspondence, and I was content to just continue my waiting (honestly, as an interviewer, it is something to which I am accustomed.). However, as a result of a recent response, Cameron was kind enough to reward my patience with a brief interview on his way to Australia this past weekend. (And thanks to spending some time in twitter jail, I saw this …show more content…

I think this is your first time to play a priest. Did you do anything special to prepare for the role? Good question. Of course, I looked into the specifics of an Episcopalian Priest, but I didn't want the label of a "priest" to determine his personality. He is a regular guy who loves to help and be of service to others. I loved the character and the whole experience. Cameron Mathison, Andie MacDowell Credit: Copyright 2017 Crown Media United States LLC/Photographer: Kailey Schwerman I think this was your first time to work with Andie MacDowell. What was it like working with her? Any behind-the-scenes stories? We had SO much fun. Loved working with Andie and loved getting to know her a bit. Behind the scenes stories... hmmmm. There was a funny high heel shoe to my forehead story! We were on a romantic stroll and Andie's character falls and we end up laying with each other. When we shot it, her shoe shot up and landed on my forehead leaving a massive "golf ball" bump! Luckily, it was the last scene on a Friday and pretty much was back to normal by Monday :) I have read the book and am very excited to see the movie version. Do you happen to know how closely this movie follows the book? The film follows the book to a certain degree, but obviously, some creative changes did occur. I think
All in all there were many things different about the book compared to the movie.
I much preferred the movie version to the novel. For me, author William Kennedy’s style of writing is needlessly vague and difficult to follow, yet he did a wonderful job adapting
Is the novel making the same point about the value or ideas as the film? If so, how? If it is making a different point about the value or idea, how is it different?
As I watched the movie, I was surprised to see that it very closely followed the movie. Even the smallest detail from the book, like a bully stealing Jess’s little sister’s Twinkies was closely adhered to in the movie. Some other details that matched included Jess giving
The movie adaptation of the book kept many of the key commonalities found in the novel similar. One major event that was kept the same, was the fact that Billy had to
The historical time period was also changed from the book to the movie, as was the time of summer in which the story
The plot and the setting of book and movie are very similar. There was a lot of thins borrowed from the book, but there was a lot changed as well. The movie followed the plot of book very closely and portrayed the setting of the book very well. A lot of the dialogue was borrowed and spoken directly as it was in the book.
Foremost, it is very recognizable that the overall flow of the story is same, but most of the plot events are not the same. Though, there were same events happening in both novel and the movie. For example, in both
The book tells the same story as the movie but in a different way it cuts out thing the movies has or the movies adds thing that's not in the book. The book has some not many similar but . I feel the director was unfaithful to the book. The book and movie version of Our America had many differences.
There are other significant similarities between the movie and the book, so if I overlooked or forgot any extremely crucial points, forgive me.
The actor choices from the film compare to what the book envisioned, but also contrast. The character of Daisy is not similar in the film to what the book
In my opinion some of these changes made the story more fun to watch and more action packed. But some of these changes made the movie leave out a lot of detail and some parts and got confused because it skipped a scene in the book. I'm glad they added all these similarities because if they had not then it would have left out a lot of information about the characters and Information about the city and plot of the movie and
The ending is probably the biggest difference between the novel and the film. The book contains an episode
From what I can tell Oliver Stone did an incredible job making this movie. There were a few discrepancies between the book and the film, but on the whole I believe
The book’s and the follow up movie’s main theme are about how different people’s hopes can collide and how dangerous it is when they do. (Perelman, 2003) The novel was well written and unique whilst the movie follows along with the novel almost faithfully mostly because the author himself had a
