Many students do not go to college because of the steep cost to attend. There a lot of students and families that support this claim, with some experts adding that other socio-economic factors also contribute to this issue. While ninth grade is typically viewed as a good time to start thinking about college, it would be more beneficial to students if they started before then in middle school. They would be able to plan which classes to take and activities to join in high school in order to obtain scholarships and admission.
