Everyone is looking to get something out of life. Phil wants to get stardom out of life; he wants, like most people, to become someone that people look up to, but he does not realize that people do not always look up to weather reporters. Phil is also very rude and centered on himself. Every time he talks he points to how great he is. He also needs other people to fail so that he looks good. His sense of success is based externally on how good he is compared to others.
Phil Connors has the personality of a selfish man. This was shown in the movie when he approached a stranger named Nancy and proceeded to ask personal questions about herself so that he can use the answers the very next day to get the chance of sleeping with Nancy. He then managed to sleep with Nancy and definitely deceived her when she asked whether this was just a one-night stand, and he simply replied “On the contrary Nancy. I love you” This shows Phil’s selfish side because he was using Nancy just for his advantage and treated her like an
Success can mean different things to different people. The definition of success can change for a person at different stages of their life. A person's culture, family, friends, experiences, and environment can be a big influence on defining what success is to that individual. We all hear the stories of people failing and failing until one day they make it to the top, beat the bad guy or pass the trial. The story can also go that they got all they desired or raised up from the ashes. All of these have one thing in common, it is at the end of the story. It's never the beginning or middle. It's always at the end of the story that the person succeeds in their quest. But why does it have to be at the end? Simply, like how there is no good without evil. You can not have succeed without struggling and failing first.
Phil changes after convincing Rita that he is reliving the same day and she tells him to make the most of it. He starts allowing reason and character to weigh in on his appetites, thus following the path to Ultimate Happiness. By listening to these sides of his soul, Phil begins to show both Moral and Intellectual virtues. His moral virtue increases as he begins helping the townspeople including: a boy falling from a tree, old ladies with a flat tire, a homeless man, and a man who is choking. Intellectually, Phil pursues the piano and masters French along with French poetry, allowing him to prosper in a rational sense. All of these examples show how Phil begins to live a virtuous
Right before the beginning of this passage in Virginia Woolf’s Mrs.Dalloway on pages 154-158 we experience Peter returning home to his hotel room while day dreaming about his recent run in with Clarissa and about their long rocky past together. While on his walk to the hotel, he was a witness to the aftermath of Septimus’s suicide and as the sound of the ambulance sirens ring through his head (Woolf, 151). Peter does not know who is riding in the ambulance, nor does he know what state they are in, whether dead or alive. He is just one of the many people that happened to be out on the street at the time of the suicide, and even this does not seem to be able to clear his mind of Clarissa.
“I myself am a product of the 60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs and rock and roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior,” stated Robertson at one point in the interview. Regardless whether or not A&E thought that his statements were derogatory, they certainly have many other hit TV shows with stars whose opinions differ from Phil’s. A&E was quick to jump on him and suspend him indefinitely, which was extremely unfair for him. It seems to me that if he said what they had wanted him to say, he would be fake. Television is 85% fake these days and I cannot wrap my head around the fact that someone is being judged for being honest about one of their own personal beliefs.
Phil is an exceedingly hard worker who values order and knowledge. Goodman begins the passage with “He worked himself to death, finally, and

One of Phil Robertsons main significance is the way he lives his life. It sets a great example for young kids growing up who want to become rich. Phil is extremely humble and even though he is worth millions of dollars you could never tell. You will never here him in the media bragging about his cars, houses, or money. He wears the same camo pants and shirt everyday He also has lived in the same double wide trailer for the past 30 years. In Robertson's’ biography he states, “If you know who you are before you get into something like this, you’ll recognize yourself on the other end of it. But if you don’t, well–our greatest fear is me and Willie start acting like Charlie Sheen!” He is setting an example to his family by telling them when the fame comes you will remain humble if you know who you are and what you were raised to

In response to Question 9, the most remarkable thing I thought was how Louie and Phil were able to keep a positive mindset throughout the whole situation. Even after losing most of their crew, eating raw animals, and surviving a Japanese bomber, they somehow kept their heads up and didn’t give up hope. If you were to take someone in today’s society, granted that our society is much more different, and put them into Louie and Phil’s position, I guarantee you that most, if not all of them will lose their minds within the first few days, if not hours. The strength to keep going day after day is just phenomenal.

When people talked about the leaders of some famous companies, they firmly believed that these leaders leadership talent is born. In the book “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success”, Carol S. Dweck discussed the fix mindset and growth mindset how to affect themes such as sports, business, relationships, and parents. Leaders with fixed mindset feel that they are superman or a genius, consider that employee who has more ability be more useful than the person who work hard and want to grow. Also, they also believe their company will not be defeated and replace. On the other side, leaders with a growth mindset preferred many people can become an excellent leader by hard-working and learn how to select people: for their mindset, not their pedigrees. Although both mindsets can make a leader successful, the growth mindset person gained more success in business, since they have true self-confidence and think they are not excellent but try their best to learn, credit and nurture. They also know how to use feedback to strengthen their leadership and arrange the company 's employees appropriately. In the teamwork, they will work to solve the problem with staff quickly. They notice their improvement in their employees on the management side and also believe themselves can be educated in negotiation abilities.
Phil took control of every situation. He maintains the position and calm while asking questions. I could immediately see that he did not share the same values or principles as the interviewee, yet he did not act against her behavior. Instead, he asked reflective questions so that she could know she was wrong. There were times where the interviewee was a little bit out of control and Dr. Phil calmed her and spoke firmly about her behavior. The interviewer conveys empathy in some ways. For example, told her “I understand what you are going through” and “It is difficult”. Those two phrases made me realize that the interviewer feels empathy towards the interviewee.
