The generation of talking face-to-face is slowly fading away, and the technology era is going to keep on growing. One of the most widely used technology services known today is the cellular phone industry. According to the Pew Research Center’s website, 90% of American adults own a cell phone. Of that 90%, the smartphone ownership is at 64% (2013). This would also eliminate students from coming out of education with massive debt. With companies generating high profit margins through this movement, the extra income gathered is entirely invested into advancing and growing the current educational system. After listening to the LP5 Seminar, there were three key subject areas that I learned about. First of all, I learned the difference between Individualism and Collectivism. An individualistic society such as the United States will depend on the values of independence and freedom; whereas, a society that is collectivistic will depend on group consensus and harmony. Each type of society will have values that play an important role in developing the communication styles used in a business message that is targeted to each specific audience. Even though the United States is broadly an individualistic country, there are smaller collectivistic communities
