Bastille was a symbol of the king’s power, but fall of bastille by the ordinary people showed king’s inability to maintain the kingdom. It became the symbol of revolution to the French people. Since then Bastille Day has been recognized as a national holiday in France. The storming of the Bastille was the begging of the French revolution. Also the Execution of King Louis XVI was another important event in the French Revolution. After the National Assembly rebuilt the relationship between church and state, Louis’s advisers warned him that he is in danger. Many people who were pro monarchy, left France because they felt it was not safe anymore. There were some people outside of France that did not support the French Revolution and wanted Louis XVI back to power as the king. Therefore he and his family attempted to escape France and get help from other countries to put him back to power. In June 1791, King Louis XVI and his family tried to escape to Austria. As they approached the border, they got arrested and were returned to Paris. *Before Louis had attempted to escape, the French people did not really hate him, but they just wanted him to support the revolution and have some power. After he tried to escape, the people saw him as a traitor to the country and started to hate him. The hatred started the future attacks on Louis and also caused the monarchy to diminish completely. If this event did not happen, the hatred towards
The Bastille was a symbol of the kings power. Citizens angered for many causes such as the high price of bread formed a mob and planned to free political prisoners. Troops sent to contain the mob instead joined the mob and the prison quickly fell. They attacked Bastille, took over and freed the prisoners inside. This event greatly scared Louis.
The first reason the French Revolution occurred, was because the king and queen were spending too much money on unnecessary items that the country could not afford. The king was gambling with money that the country did not have. Also, he was staging plays while the country was 40 billion dollars in debt. This made the people despise not only the king, but the queen too because they both were spending money on clothes and
The Bastille was a fortress built in the XII century to protect Paris in the Hundred Years' War. By the late 1700s, it was used as a state prison by Louis XVI. The National Assembly attacked the Bastille for two reasons. First, they were they own army but they needed gun powder and the rumors said that there were loads of gun powder in the Bastille. Second, the king saw the Bastille as a sign of power. This means that once the Third State took it, the monarchy will know that there is a new government in France.
Lastly, the Storming of Bastille, one of the most symbolic and radical events of the revolution, took place. With the emergence of the New Assembly, headed by Joseph Sieyes, King Louis couldn't do much to put it down due to the lack of trust amongst the French army. This enabled the French citizens the ability to storm and capture Bastille due to the lack of defense from the French. Word of this began to travel across France and riot began to take place across the entire country, and the revolution was now in full force.

The storming of the bastille is an extremely important event that sparked the French Revolution, created a new holiday, and caused panic in the French government. The Storming was a huge step to ending all monarchies in France. It all began when a group of people called the Partisans felt as if they were in an oppressive monarchy, and as a result of this, they decided to revolt. They used a large fortress/prison called the Bastille as a symbol of their revolt. The Bastille was built in 1370, and was known formerly as Bastille Saint-Antoine, it was used as state prison, and originally built to protect against eastern English attack. The prison held traitors to the king, and may be compared to modern day solitary confinement, because it was for the worst of the worst
The French Revolution was an influential period of social and political upheaval in France that lasted from 1789 until 1799, and was partially carried forward by Napoleon during the later expansion of the French Empire. The Revolution overthrew the monarchy, established a republic, experienced violent periods of political turmoil, and finally culminated in a dictatorship by Napoleon that rapidly brought many of its principles to Western Europe and beyond. Inspired by liberal and radical ideas, the Revolution profoundly altered the course of modern history, triggering the global decline of absolute monarchies while replacing them with republics. Through the Revolutionary Wars, it unleashed a wave of global conflicts that extended from the Caribbean to the Middle East. Historians widely regard the Revolution as one of the most important events in human history.
The French Revolution began in 1789, where social and political issues were completely changed. During the time, everyone was divided into three estates and that caused the third estate to find something unfair about the fact that the third estate has to pay but the first and second does not. Especially from the Enlightenment, the third estate took those ideas and started to realise the inequalities of the old regime. The Enlightenment ideas expressed independent thought and difference between wrong and right. Not only did they have social issues, they also had financial issues like deficit spending that was an issue for years. When the Parisians stormed the Bastille, it caught the attention of Louis XVI.

The Revolution led to the development of new political forces such as democracy and nationalism. It questioned the authority of kings, priests, nobles and eventually ridded itself of the monarchy in the nation. The Revolution also gave new meanings and new ideas to the political ideas of the people. The major cause of the French Revolution was the disputes between the different types of ideas, social classes and the changes in the political views.
