Depositional Plan Anthony Rolon was the case I selected from the Second Chance Kids. The documentary's analysis of the case of Massachusetts' Anthony Rolon resulted in the approval of young offenders' parole. Rolon makes the case in court for his release from prison after serving eighteen years, but the victim's family makes the other argument. Recidivism rises when criminals are given another opportunity. Juveniles are entitled to parole because the court determined that it would be unlawful to deny them it. In 1997, the juvenile Anthony Rolon was found guilty of murder and given a life sentence. The Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled in 2014 that parole should be available to minors. All throughout the nation, parole hearings began. Ten of the sixty-three adolescent offenders sentenced three years later had been reintegrated into society. Regretfully, Anthony Rolon remained while awaiting his legal proceedings. The minor had not been offered the opportunity to be released from prison during his eighteen years of incarceration. Additionally, he has been turned down for participation in drug misuse, job training, counseling, and rehabilitation programs. According to Anjaswarni et al., risk factors are attributes that, when present for a particular juvenile, raise the likelihood of offending in the setting of a juvenile conviction. When evaluating Anthony Rolon, a number of risk variables must be taken into account. There are two levels to these factors: the level of the individual and the level of the community. When evaluating Rolon, it is necessary to take into account individual-level characteristics such as substance abuse, early exposure to violence, and pregnancy conditions. Research has connected drug abuse's consequences and prenatal variables to criminal behavior (p. 14). Rolon's offensive may therefore be closely related to these elements. Rolon's convection should be based on the degree of drug usage and neighborhood crime in the neighborhood, taking into account community-level issues. Bobbio et al.
