The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASAWA) set a wide standard of duties on all employers. Employers have the responsibility to protect the health, safety and welfare of all their employees at work and other members of staff including temporary, casual workers, the self-employed, visitors and the general public. It also involves taking steps to control slip and trip risks. Employees have a duty not to put themselves or others in danger, and must use any safety equipment provided.

It is the method of evaluating the strengths, weaknesses, external opportunities and threats from competition, and also to identify some strategic decision-making (Colbert 2018). Greggs is a largest bakery in United Kingdom. It specialises in products such as pasties and bakes, sausage rolls, fresh prepared sandwiches, pastas and salads with drinks. Greggs has been established since 75 years ago when it started with the delivery of eggs and yeast to the families in New Castle. In 1964 his son Ian Gregg starts to grow and develop the business by delivering a good quality of the product with great value. Gregg’s bakery as a company needs more investment in new technologies in order to integrate the processes across the board. There are also gap in the range of the product being sold as lack of choice for customers can open a new idea or door for the competitors. New product should be added to the existing one. There are low investments in research and development and this can make it difficult for the company to compete with the competitors. The marketing strategy need to be improved, by increasing the advertisement, the discount rate and they can used the leaflets distributors company to distribute the leaflets all over their locations.
