Alfonso de Ulloa (d. c. 1580)
Ulloa, Alfonso de (öl-yō’ä). A Spanish writer of history who lived in the sixteenth century; died about 1580. His principal works are: ‘Life of the Emperor Charles V.’ (1560); ‘Life of the Emperor Ferdinand’ (1565); ‘History of the Capture of Tripoli in Barbary’ (1566); ‘History of Europe, 1564–66’ (1570).
