Amos Kendall (1789–1869)

Kendall, Amos. A distinguished American politician; born at Dunstable, MA, Aug. 16, 1789; died at Washington, DC, Nov. 11, 1869. He was Postmaster-General of the United States, 1835–40. He wrote ‘Life of Andrew Jackson’; ‘Autobiography’ (1872).
