André Zbylitowski (17321813)
Zbylitowski, André (zbē-lē-tov’skē). A Polish writer, philosopher, and poet; born in Galicia, 1732; died in 1813. He was doctor of literature and philosophy in Kraków, and afterwards traveled extensively in Europe and South America. Among his works are: ‘Rhythms in Polish Verse’ (1763); ‘The Marshal’ (historical); ‘A Beard,’ a novel; and various books on philosophical, political, and grammatical themes.
