Hawkins, Anthony Hope. A popular English novelist, writing under the name “Anthony Hope”; born in London, Feb. 9, 1863; died in 1933. Among his best-known works are: ‘A Man of Mark’ (1890); ‘Father Stafford’; ‘The Prisoner of Zenda’; ‘The Indiscretion of the Duchess’; ‘Phroso’; ‘Heart of the Princess Osra’; ‘The Dolly Dialogues’; ‘Rupert of Hentzau’; ‘Quisanté.’
