Dall, Caroline Wells. An American prose-writer; born in Boston, June 22, 1822; died in 1912. She was an industrious literary worker, and is the author of many books, in which are included: ‘Essays and Sketches’ (1849); ‘Woman’s Right to Labor’ (1860); ‘Egypt’s Place in History’ (1868); ‘Patty Gray’s Journey to the Cotton Islands’; and ‘What We Really Know about Shakespeare’ (1885).
