Carryl, Charles Edward. An American story-writer; born in New York City, Dec. 30, 1841; died in 1920. In 1885 he published ‘Davy and the Goblin,’ followed by ‘The Admiral’s Caravan,’ both juveniles in the manner of Lewis Carroll.
