Charles Knowles Bolton (1867–1950)

Bolton, Charles Knowles (bōl’ton). An American poet and miscellaneous writer, son of Mrs. Sarah Knowles Bolton; born in Cleveland, OH, Nov. 14, 1867; died in 1950. He was librarian of Boston Athenæum Library. He wrote in prose: ‘Gossiping Guide to Harvard,’ ‘Saskia, the Wife of Rembrandt’; etc.; in verse: ‘The Wooing of Martha Pitkin’; ‘Love Story of Ursula Wolcott’; ‘Scotch Irish Pioneers in Ulster and America’ (1910).
