Chester Bailey Fernald (18691938)
Fernald, Chester Bailey. An American author and dramatist; born in Charlestown, MA, March 18, 1869; died in 1938. He was at one time actively connected with the building of war vessels at San Francisco, traveled extensively and settled in London. He wrote: ‘The Cat and the Cherub’ (1896); ‘Chinatown Stories’ (1899); ‘John Kendry’s Idea’ (1907). His plays, ‘The Cat and the Cherub,’ ‘The Moonlight Blossom,’ ‘The Pursuit of Pamela,’ and others, have been successfully produced.
