Thomson, Edward William. An American writer, editor and civil engineer; born in Ontario, 1849; died in 1924. He wrote: ‘Old Man Savarin, and Other Stories’; ‘Walter Gibbs,’ a book for boys; also the metrical portions of M. S. Henry’s version of ‘Aucassin and Nicolette’; ‘When Lincoln Died and Other Poems’ (1909); ‘The Many-Mansioned House’ (1909).
