Hubbard, Elbert. An American author and lecturer; born in Bloomington, IL, June 19, 1856; perished on the Lusitania, May 7, 1915. His home was in East Aurora, NY. He was editor of the Philistine. He wrote: ‘No Enemy but Himself’; ‘Little Journeys to the Homes of Good Men and Great’; ‘A Message to Garcia’; ‘One Day’; ‘Little Journeys to the Homes of Famous Women’ (1897); etc.
