Elizabeth Bisland (1861–1929)

Bisland, Elizabeth. An American descriptive and story-writer, by marriage Mrs. Wetmore; born in Louisiana, Feb. 11, 1861; died in 1929. She is author of ‘A Flying Trip around the World’ (1891), the account of a trip performed in 76 days in the year 1876; and of ‘A Widower Indeed,’ with Rhoda Broughton (1892); ‘The Secret Life’ (1907); ‘The Case of John Smith’ (1916).
