Francisco Figueroa (1730?–1800?)

Figueroa, Francisco (fē-gā-rō’ä). A Mexican annalist, diarist, and theologian; born in Toluca, 1730?; died in the City of Mexico, 1800?. He was a Franciscan priest; his service to literature consisted in the compilation of materials for a history of Mexico, among them a ‘History of the Conquest of New Galicia,’ by Mota Padilla, besides diaries and letters.
