Wedekind, Frank. A German dramatist; born at Hanover, July 24, 1864; died in 1918. Among his plays are: ‘The Awakening of Spring’ (1891); ‘Earth Spirit’ (1895); ‘Marquis of Keith’ (1900); ‘The Box of Pandora’ (1903); ‘The Dance of Death’ (1906); ‘Simson’ (1914). His collected works appeared in 1914. He was reported dead, March 9, 1918.
