Friedrich Adolf Krummacher (1767–1845)
Krummacher, Friedrich Adolf (krö’mäċh-er). A German writer of parables; born at Tecklenburg, July 1767; died at Bremen, April 4, 1845. A minister in the German Reformed Church and a professor of theology, he became widely known by his short ‘Parables’ (1805), on such subjects as ‘The Blind Man,’ ‘Life and Death,’ ‘The Hero.’
