Georg von Hauenschild (18251855)
Georg von Hauenschild (Max Waldau) (väl’dou). A German poet; born in Breslau, March 24, 1825; died at Tscheidt, Upper Silesia, Jan. 20, 1855. As a poet his name is known through ‘A Fairy Fable,’ and ‘Leaves in the Wind.’ ‘Cordula’ is a poem admired for its rich metrical effects. He also wrote ‘After Nature,’ a novel.
