Henry Fouquier (1838–1901)
Fouquier, Jacques François Henri (fö-kyā’). A French journalist and topical writer; born in Marseilles, Sept. 1, 1838; died at Neuilly, Dec. 25, 1901. He wrote for Gil Blas, Figaro, and L’Echo de Paris, both over his own name and such pseudonyms as “Nestor,” “Columbine,” and “Columba.” ‘Artistic Studies’ (1859), ‘In the Last Century’ (1884), and ‘Parisian Goodness’ (1885), are happy dashes at men and women and things.
