Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch (1808–1883)

Schulze-Delitzsch, Hermann (shölts’ė-dāl’ich). A German social economist; born at Delitzsch, Aug. 29, 1808; died at Potsdam, April 29, 1883. He wrote: ‘Chapters of a German Workingman’s Catechism’ (1863), an anti-socialist tract; ‘The Laboring Classes and Associationism in Germany’ (2d ed. 1863); ‘Money-Advance and Credit Associations as People’s Banks’ (5th ed. 1876).
