Ibn Batuta (13041377)
Ibn Batuta (ibn bä-tö’tä). An Arabic writer of travel; born at Tangier, Morocco, about 1304; died at Fez, about 1377. He made many voyages and wrote his ‘Travels,’ which were translated into French and English. He is sometimes termed Abu Abdallah Mohammed.
