Ibn Khallikān (1211–1282)

Ibn Khallikān (ibn khäl’li-kän). An Arabic scholar and writer; born at Arbola, 1211; died at Damascus, 1282. He was renowned in his own day for his numerous works in every department of literature. His best-known work is the ‘Wafiat-ul-Aiyan,’ or ‘Deaths of Eminent Men.’
