Yanguas y Miranda, José (yän’gwäs ē mē-rän’dä). A Spanish archæologist; died about 1860. His principal works are: ‘Short History of the Kingdom of Navarre’ (1833); ‘History of the Conquest of the Kingdom of Navarre, by the Duke of Alva’ (1843); ‘Dictionary of the Antiquities of the Kingdom of Navarre’ (4 vols., 1840–43).
