Joseph Fabre (1842–1916)
Fabre, Amand Joseph (fäbr). A French historical and philosophical writer, dramatist, and publicist; born in Rodez, Dec. 10, 1842; died in 1916. A drama, ‘Joan of Arc’ (1890), made his name most widely known; his other work being largely represented by such books as ‘A Course in Philosophy’ (1870) and ‘Washington, the Liberator of America’ (1882).
