Kirk Munroe (1850–1930)

Munroe, [Charles] Kirk. An American writer for the young; born in Prairie du Chien, WI, Sept. 15, 1850; died in 1930. He wrote: ‘The Flamingo Feather’ (1887); ‘Wakulla’ (1888); ‘Campmates’; ‘Canoemates’; ‘Raftmates’; ‘Rick Dale’; ‘Dorymates’; ‘The White Conquerors’; ‘Big Cypress’; ‘At War with Pontiac’ etc.; also a ‘Life of Mrs. Stowe’ (with her son); ‘The Outcast Warrior’; ‘For the Mikado’ (1906).
