Briggs, Le Baron Russell. An American educator and author; born in Salem, MA, Dec. 11, 1855; died in 1935. He was a professor of English at Harvard after 1899 and president of Radcliffe College after 1903. Among his books are: ‘Routine and Ideals’; ‘Girls and Education.’
