Lodovico Vittorio Savioli (17291804)
Savioli, Lodovico Vittorio. (säv-yō’lē). An Italian poet and historian; born in 1729; died in 1804. He published in his youth a volume of poems, ‘Amours’; translated the works of Tacitus; and at the time of his death was engaged on the composition of a historical work, ‘The Annals of Bologna.’
