Hesekiel, Ludovika (he-zā’kē-el). A German novelist, daughter of George Ludwig; born in Altenburg, July 3, 1847; died at Neustadt, April 6, 1889. Her forte was historical fiction; and she wrote a sequel to one of her father’s books, under the title ‘From Brandenburg to Bismarck.’ Her most successful productions are ‘God with Us,’ and a collection of short stories. Her study of ‘Elizabeth Louise, Queen of Prussia,’ is brilliant and valuable.
