Norris, Mary Harriott. An American author and educator; born in Boonton, NJ, March 16, 1848; died in 1919. Among her numerous published works are: ‘Fraulein Mina’ (1872); ‘Ben and Bentie Series’ (1873–76); ‘Phebe’ (1890); ‘Afterward’ (1893); ‘John Applegate, Surgeon’ (1894); ‘The Gray House of the Quarries’ (1898); ‘The Veil’ (1907).
