Mrs. De Courcy Laffan (d. 1912)
Laffan, Mrs. De Courcy (Bertha Leith Adams). An English novelist; her first work, ‘Mabel Meredith’s Love Story,’ was published in All the Year Round. This was followed in 1877 by ‘Winstowe,’ ‘Madelon Lemoine,’ and ‘Aunt Hepsy’s Foundling,’ the last being her best-known work. She died in 1912.
