Obadiah Cyrus Auringer (18491937)
Auringer, Obadiah Cyrus. An American poet; born at Glens Falls, NY, June 4, 1849; died in 1937. He served for some years in the United States Navy. After 1875 he was a farmer in his native place. Among his works are: ‘Voices of a Shell’; ‘Scythe and Sword’ (1887); ‘Episode of Jane McCrea’; ‘The Book of the Hills’; ‘The Christ’ (1900); ‘The Eagle’s Bride’ (1911).
