Ubaldini, Petruccio (ö-bäl-dē’nē). An Italian historian; born at Florence, about 1524; died at London, about 1600. He wrote: ‘Life of Charlemagne’ (1581); ‘Description of Scotland and its Isles’ (1588); ‘Lives of Illustrious Ladies of England and Scotland’ (1591); ‘Precepts, Moral, Political, and Economic’ (1592).
