Robert Heller (1812–1871)

Heller, Robert (hel’er). A German historical novelist; born in Grossdrebnitz, Saxony, Nov. 24, 1812; died at Hamburg, May 7, 1871. He left the law for journalism, subsequently writing ‘Busts from St. Paul’s Church,’ which established his reputation; followed by ‘Alhambra,’ ‘A New World,’ and ‘The Earthquake at Caracas.’
