Grand, Mme. Sarah. An English novelist; born (Frances Elizabeth Clarke) in Ireland. ‘The Heavenly Twins’ (1893), made her famous. ‘Singularly Deluded,’ ‘Ideala,’ ‘Babo the Impossible’ (1900), ‘The Winged Victory’ (1916), are among her other works of fiction.
