Vasfi, Kéfévi, Sheik (väs’fē). A Turkish poet, critic, and littérateur of considerable repute. Besides numerous translations of philosophical maxims, moral anecdotes, etc., from the Arabic and Persian, he wrote two volumes of original poems, ‘Djézébaad’ and ‘Feïzabad,’ which are imbued with the Oriental mysticism.
