Aimwell, Walter (William Simonds). An American juvenile writer; born in Massachusetts, 1822; died in 1859. Among his best-known works are: ‘The Aimwell Stories’; ‘The Boys’ Own Guide’; and ‘The Boys’ Book of Morals and Manners.’
