Dodge, Walter Phelps. An American author and lawyer; born at Beirut, Syria, June 13, 1869; died in 1931. He wrote: ‘Three Greek Tales’; ‘As the Crow Flies’; ‘A Strong Man Armed’; ‘The Sea of Love’; ‘The Real Sir Richard Burton’; ‘The Purple Iris’ (1915).
