Wilhelm Friedrich Waiblinger (18041830)
Waiblinger, Wilhelm Friedrich (vīb’ling-er). A German miscellaneous writer; born at Heilbronn, Nov. 21, 1804; died at Rome, Jan. 17, 1830. His tales, ‘Four Stories from Greece’ (1821), and ‘Three Days in the Nether World’ (1826); and his ‘Poems,’ were received with extraordinary favor. He wrote also: ‘Pocket Book of Italy and Greece’ (1829); ‘The Britons in Rome,’ a humorous story (1844); ‘Poems from Italy.’
