William Stephen Rainsford (18501933)
Rainsford, William Stephen. An American Episcopal clergyman; born in Dublin, Oct. 30, 1850; died in 1933. He was rector of St. George’s, New York City (1882–1906). Besides many contributions to current literature, he published ‘Sermons Preached in St. George’s’ (1887), and ‘The Church’s Opportunity in the City of To-day’; ‘A Preacher’s Story of His Life’ (1901); ‘Land of the Lion’ (1908).
