Out of the DarkA. N.
W
Now my beloved is gone!
A silence that cries aloud,
An emptiness filled with dreams,
An end that is but a beginning.
Now my beloved is gone!
Noise without meaning,
Crowds without thought,
Life that has lost its vitality.
And lives without love.
Let them fight their dark battles,
Bring disaster and suffering and woe:
What does it mean to me now—
Now my beloved is gone!
