Lie the pools—
Cupped in the ruddy rock,
Bright pools of mountain water,
Unimaginably clear.
There is no sky, no distance;
The friendly wood leans near.
Unimaginably white;
It pleases me to think of my white body here,
Released in fair water, to charm
A delicate lover.
