The Forest of Dead TreesMark Turbyfill
I
Through the forest of dead trees.
And learned much of the white beauty of death.
And this, whose gracious throat?
Than this silent, curving death is beautiful!
I think I heard it cry:
“Centre within centre,
Death or Life,
One am I.”
