A SKY filling with shadow as a flower with rain …

A wind gray with the secret moods of the sea …

And the old singing comes back again,

The old aching perplexity.

The old questioning comes back once more

Asking the little shadows hiding in tears,

Why love cries in the rain outside the door,

And beauty blunders forever down the years.
